Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ContextOS ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ContextOS is an AI-powered project memory tool that helps developers and builders track context across projects. We provide the Service on a subscription basis (Free and Pro plans).

3. Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address and keep your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use ContextOS.
  • One account per person. Do not share accounts.

4. Your data

You own all content you create in ContextOS (projects, sessions, decisions, ideas, resources). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Export. You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings → Profile → Danger Zone.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent Free plan limits
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service

6. Billing

The Pro plan is billed monthly ($9/month) or annually ($90/year). Payments are processed by Stripe. The Free plan is free forever within stated limits (5 projects, 5 AI resumes/month).

Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time — your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but we may offer them at our discretion.

7. AI features

AI-generated content (briefings, next steps) is provided for informational purposes. It may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and acting on AI output. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI suggestions.

AI features require an active internet connection and depend on third-party AI services (OpenRouter/OpenAI). We may change, limit, or discontinue AI features with notice.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service. We are not liable for downtime or data loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ContextOS is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you by email for significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
